Revolution Shakespeare

Suit the action to the word, the word to the action

Revolution Shakespeare, based in Philadelphia, PA, invites audiences to experience the variety and vitality of Shakespeare's works with bold and honest productions at little to no cost for patrons.

Love is war is hell is love is war is hell.

In this darkly funny exploration of anti-heroes, Shakespeare skews the great heroes of antiquity. The face that launched 1,000 ships has Troy in a 7 year war. Achilles, Hector, Agamemnon, and Paris parlay and battle while Shakespeare’s lesser-known lovers, Troilus and Cressida, attempt to find love. But when princes are not heroic and lovers are not true, what is worth fighting for? What is hell; love or war?

This production is free and open to everyone!
