All-Natural Summer Honey


On June 21st, we’ll be taking over a new, local brewery for RevShakes All-Natural Summer Honey: our 2017-2018 season revels! Join us from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at ARS Brewery (1927 W. Passyunk Ave., South Philly) for some food, fun, and fellowship.

Admission will include a complimentary beer, delicious munchies as well as performances from past and future RevShakes work.

Joining us for the event is an exciting line-up of performers, including:

Jess DalCanton (RevShakes' Education Director)
Janice Rowland & Allen Radway (both veteran Philly performers and friends to the company)

Mind, Body, and Voice: A Shakespeare Bootcamp

Flex your Shakespeare Muscles with Revolution Shakespeare at a two day Mind, Body, and Voice Shakespeare Bootcamp! In this two-day workshop, you'll explore stage combat in practice, voice for the actor, scansion and audition prep.

This workshop is offered to those aged 18 and over and will be capped at 14 attendees.

Jessica DalCanton (Education Director): As an actor, she has worked professionally in Cyprus, Prague, and many regional theatres including: Revolution Shakespeare, Shakespeare in Clark Park, Commonwealth Shakespeare and P.A.C. Jessica has served as the resident dramaturg for Mauckingbird Theatre Co. and Act II Playhouse. She holds a certification from the International Theatre Symposium in Greece, LIMS, a BFA from U.T. and a Masters from Villanova.  She adores teaching and has had the privilege to do so at Villanova University, Rutgers Camden, Gwynedd Mercy College, Temple University, Lantern Theatre, Wolf P.A.C, Theatre Horizon, Project Learn School, Montgomery County Community College and The Baldwin School. 

Sean Bradley (Resident Fight Choreographer): Sean has worked as an Actor, Fight Choreographer, Director, Teaching Artist, and Adjunct Professor.  He trained at University College Dublin, Ireland (MA) and University of the Arts (BFA) where he began his relationship with the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD). Sean has trained with and Assisted SAFD Fight Directors Charles Conwell, Paul Dennhardt, Ian Rose, and has been SAFD Certified in all 8 testable weapons under Fight Master J. Allen Suddeth.  His Choreography has been seen onstage in Dublin Ireland, New York City, and the Greater Philadelphia Area.  He choreographed RevShakes’ Productions Five Kings, Macbeth, and King John.  His last appearance in a production of Shakespeare was the Arden’s Macbeth which involved Sword and Shield, Broadsword, Sword and Buckler, and many knives, for which he also Fight Captained. He currently trains in On Camera Stunts and Historic European Martial Arts (German Longsword).

Bi Jean Ngo: Bi earned a Bachelor of Science in Film & Television at Boston University, as well as an MFA in Acting from The Actors' Studio Drama School at New School University. Recent education includes Dell'Arte International's School for Physical Theatre in California and the Actor Intensive at Shakespeare & Company in Massachussetts. She teaches audition technique and Shakespeare through Physical Theatre at Lantern Theater Company, and has taught at Arden Theatre and 1812 Productions, as well. Recent Shakespeare credits include Winter's Tale at Shakespeare in Clark Park and Pericles with Delaware Shakespeare Festival. This fall, she will appear in As You Like It in Delaware Shakespeare Festival's Community Tour. Bi is a Round 10 recipient of the TCG Fox Fellowship Foundation Grant for an Actor with Extraordinary Potential. She also received the 2016 F. Otto Haas Emerging Artist Barrymore Award. Her first experience with Shakespeare was playing one of the witches in Macbeth for a high school theatre festival at DC's Folger Shakespeare Theatre. Macbeth remains Bi's favorite Shakespearean play to this day.
