Revolution Shakespeare is hosting three, 3-hour Combat Masterclasses in August, taught by Resident Fight Choreographer Sean Bradley. Sean's choreography was last seen in Revolution Shakespeare's inaugural production of Macbeth, and he was featured in numerous onstage deaths in The Arden’s production of Macbeth.

Open to all skill levels, these classes will focus on the Society of American Fight Directors’ guidelines for Unarmed and Knife combat.  Whether you are interested in learning new skills for the stage, brushing up on technique before the SAFD Cheesesteak! in October, or are simply interested in having some fun, these classes are for you!

Session 1 "Unarmed" – An exploration of the SAFD required moves on how to punch, kick, push, pull, scratch and choke the hell out of your scene partner. Aug. 28 2pm-5pm.

Session 2 "Knife" – Knife wielding technique, to make you a little more like Jason Bourne, within the SAFD safety guidelines and focused on their required moves. Aug. 29 6:30pm-9:30pm.

Session 3 "Acting through Choreography"– Scene based workshop focused on the effective acting of a scene involving unarmed and knife choreography. Also, exercises on how to sell pain effectively, and how to hold tension in the Danger Zone! Aug. 30 6:30pm-9:30pm.
